Marta Blue is a Milan-based multidisciplinary creative working as a creative director, photographer, and author. She is recognized for a signature aesthetic centered on dark, surreal storytelling. Her work follows an authentic narrative path, with a profound focus on femininity, the natural world, and the occult.
She collaborates with prestigious editorial teams and global agencies, including The New York Times, Condé Nast, Harper’s Bazaar, Google, and Freeda Media. A recipient of the LensCulture Emerging Talent Award, Marta has exhibited at major international venues - from the iconic streets of Shibuya, Tokyo, to the renowned Les Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles. Her work has been showcased in Milan, Paris, and New York.
UPDATES* In 2025, Marta launched a deeply personal project exploring the traditions of Italian witchcraft rooted in her own bloodline. This new body of work documents the history of Italian folk magic and the women in her family who practiced it. A complex and intimate endeavor, the project is rich in archival material and grounded in extensive research into ancestral rituals and traditions, spanning from ancient folk magic to modern practice. This ongoing photographic and historical journey can be followed on TikTok, Instagram, and Substack.
